U.S. Health and Human Services (HHS) administers grant programs as part of the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) to improve healthcare within underserved communities. These projects support efforts to modernize healthcare by funding new construction and the repair or renovation of existing health centers.
ODG provided construction administration services; projects are reviewed from inception through completion. This frequently includes providing technical assistance, monitoring, and closeouts. ODG provided architectural reviews of grants for appropriate construction and equipment costs. The ODG team worked directly with HHS grantees. Facility types include community health centers, migrant health centers, homeless health centers, and public housing primary care health centers. Projects ranged in size from 100 gsf to 80,000 gsf and ranged in cost from $5,000 to $20 million.
The ODG team interacted with a diverse array of HHS offices and worked to complete a timely analysis of each project. ODG finished two weeks in advance of the scheduled date of completion.
