The GSA National Capital Region required architectural services to perform an installation investigation for specific building elements of an approximately 200,000 gsf, six-story government facility.
The ODG Team, including an experienced structural engineering consultant, was engaged to perform a forensic investigation that included the evaluation of the design and installation, review of project documentation, including As-Built contract drawings and specifications, submittals and manufacturer’s data, research of industry standards, and review of the proposed solution in the field. After the investigation, the ODG Team prepared a Report of Findings which addressed known and previously unknown deficiencies and included a recommended remedial solution. The nature of the project called for a swift turnaround, and a preliminary report was delivered on time within one and a half weeks. ODG is capable of providing outstanding services related to design and project management for new construction, as well as providing quality control, oversight and remedial design work for existing facilities.
