ODG provided architectural services for the renovation of and addition to this residence in Alexandria, Virginia. The two story, 1,050 gsf brick home was nearly doubled in size to just under 2,000 gsf, not including the basement. The first floor was renovated to double the size of the existing dining room. A new kitchen was added and features an island opening into a new family room at the rear of the residence. The second floor was renovated to enlarge an existing bedroom and accommodate a new master bedroom suite. The master bedroom suite features a cathedral ceiling and a bay window overlooking the rear garden. The renovation included the disposal of a hazardous oil tank in the rear yard. Work was completed in 2007.
